my friends and I use mumble for voice chat, and matrix for text chat. works pretty well
No matter how many shitty features they stuff in the app I will never use discord for anything except voice chat and text chat (even that’s bad in larger servers as you just get 2 people having a conversation constantly spamming you with notifications until you disable them for that server)
The thing is all the new stuff is behind nitro or 20 server boosts. I hate that muting anything takes like 5 clicks or so.
