I was worried for years that I would be judged for showing my Swiftie side, and I can’t be happy enough that I just threw that away years ago. Life gets a lot more fun when you stop judging others for what they like, and open up to enjoying things yourself.

Still, some people see us having fun and decide that we’re weird and downvote away. Don’t care. Am a straight man, saw Eras last year, had a blast, excited to watch it at home, and would go see her again. (If tickets were ever available again lol)

Listen, my wife is in the army. Every man - I mean every last one - in her whole platoon is a Swiftie. These are jacked up dudes who blow shit up for a living. All of them fucking love Taytay.

One of the biggest moments I remember is me saying something stupid to a mentor, something like “Oh that’s weird that you like X, I thought men don’t like X”, and he said “Real men don’t care”. Stuck with me.

To the downvoters who keep looking, real men judge others based on music choice. Real men don’t care. Doesn’t mean you have to like her, just, who cares that we do

We do have joy this whole thing just wears thin. And, actually, other people don’t get to tell me what brings me joy.

Shameless plug for our Swiftie community over at [email protected] . There are dozens of us Lemmy Swifties. Dozens!

As for the movie, I saw her live and by far one of those shows that you just will have an anchoring memory too. She’s clearly a showman, she put meticulous detail into every step, every note. I do wish she had been a bit more personal, but she went for 3.5 hours of songs, can’t blame her for needing to power through it all.

I personally won’t be going to the movie, but will enjoy it at home when it comes out on my sound system, very excited for that! I hope everyone who goes has fun!

The movie was awesome! Easily the best concert movie I’ve seen. The production values were through the roof, and I definitely cried a few times just being overwhelmed by it all.
