Hardtack, pilot bread, ship’s biscuit - different names for essentially the same thing: flour, water, baked until its completely dry and hard as a stone.
Why am I posting this here? What does this have to do with resistance?
Sailors, armies, and explorers used hardtack as a food source going back a really long time. These were people who were going out into the world and getting by almost completely alone (save interactions with native people). It is a survival food, it’s calories that may allow you to operate just a bit more independently in adverse circumstances.
Make some, it’s easy. Keep it in a plastic bag, empty coffee can, burlap sack, wooden barrel. As long as it stays dry, it’ll keep basically forever. Don’t forget that it’s not a food all by itself. It’s an ingredient that requires preparation, usually by hammering into pieces and soaking in water.
