नबील आसिफ कुरैशी (1983-2017) का लालन-पालन एक कट्टर अहमदी मुसलमान के रूप में हुआ। अपने दोस्त डेविड वुड के साथ मसीही धर्म और इस्लाम के प्रमाणों की जांच करने में कई साल बिताने के बाद, नबील ईस्टर्न वर्जीनिया मेडिकल स्कूल में पढ़ते हुए मसीही बन गए। उनकी निरंतर पढ़ाई ने उन्हें बायोला यूनिवर्सिटी, ड्यूक यूनिवर्सिटी और ऑक्सफोर्ड यूनिवर्सिटी में ले जाया, और तीन किताबें लिखीं: “सीकिंग अल्लाह, फाइंडिंग जीसस,” “नो गॉड बट वन,” और “आंसरिंग जिहाद।” पेट के कैंसर से जूझने के बाद, 16 सितंबर, 2017 को नबील का निधन हो गया।
