This is one of the darker examples of “what’s trashy when poor people do it but classy when rich people do it”. If it’s the poors, cue hillbilly jokes/banjo music. If, however, you’re talking about the upper strata of a steeply hierarchical society trying to preserve dynastic wealth (or imitating the customs of those who did), you’re now in Crusader Kings territory.

Elon is a shitty person, but he is not responsible for the behavior of his parents. Likewise, plenty of people grew up in fucked up homes without becoming terrible themselves.

No, but it’s relevant when you consider Elon made an incest roleplay account of his toddler, X, including raceplay, which he testified to in court. Trump is pretty incesty with Ivanka. It’s kinda seems like incest is normalized for them, ya know?

Man that makes really question this whole thing. Royal incest was “to keep the bloodline pure.”

Now I’m thinking its not that, it’s that they’re really into rape of their own offspring and nieces and nephews.

“the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree” applies here… but if elmo wasn’t an evil piece of shit, this article would be about him overcoming a shitty father and childhood instead….

How dare you make me imagine that man speaking with the Elmo voice. I now need to see if someone’s used AI to dub everything he’s said with the voice. I hope you’re pleased with yourself! /jk

Consistently applying logic to every person no matter their situation isn’t empathy, it’s justice.

I judge everyone on their own mistakes, not those of their parents. And boy has Elon fucked up a lot.

I’m just tired of this one way ethical consistency. It’s bullshit and posts like this don’t always need somebody jumping in to defend the evil piece of shit.

If you think what I posted was a defense of Elon, you need to work on your reading comprehension. In no uncertain terms, he is the worst humanity has to offer. But that’s because of his own choices, not his father’s choices.

What I’m saying is even MORE damning because I’m taking away the excuse you’re giving him - that his problems were caused by his father’s actions.

We need more people like you. Sadly too many people these days see no problem with “cancelling” someone simply because they knew a bad person or were related to one.

Talk about a slippery slope. I’m pretty sure we all know someone who is a horrible person.
