If they realized it, they might have just wheeled it back out and set it aflame. That’d be pretty bad.
They wouldn’t even need to wheel it back out. Could have just started building a bonfire base around it and talking loudly about sacrificing it to the gods then pick off the men as they scramble out one by one.
