They don’t care about anything but money. CBS CEO himself said it plain as day

He also said the 2016 presidential election is a “circus” and that there is a lot of “bomb throwing” — and he hopes it keeps on like that.

“It may not be good for America, but it’s damn good for CBS,” he said Monday at the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media & Telecom Conference in San Francisco, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

“Most of the ads are not about issues. They’re sort of like the debates. … Man, who would have expected the ride we’re all having right now? … The money’s rolling in and this is fun,” he added. “I’ve never seen anything like this, and this going to be a very good year for us. Sorry. It’s a terrible thing to say. But, bring it on, Donald. Keep going.”

He also said that, “Donald’s place in this election is a good thing.”

Clearly nothing has changed in that regard. I guess the billionaires that own the big media corps also would rather Donald and his tax breaks for the wealthy over any dem, so there’s that too. They are confident they can outlast the fascism they’ve been helping to usher in.

TV news is how we got stuck with this AH in the first place. All they care about is ratings.

It’s all about ratings. Just like how quarterly sales must always go up, rating must always go up.

Exactly the thought I had when his presidency was over! He, this, is all normal now.

It’s so depressing that we’re back in the place where news cycles consist of Trump does horrible thing --> media resorts on horrible thing --> opinion media questions whether the original reporting contained a sufficiently outraged tone and whether not doing so is itself harmful --> Trump does new and worse horrible thing. Not to say that any of this is the wrong reaction, I just thought my days of getting sucked into these news cycles was over and it’s depressing that we’ve got a year more of this shit again, like some shitty deja vu. At least it’ll only be a year, cause either Biden will win or Trump will win and abolish the press, either way it’ll be over by 2025.

"One-third of Republicans today believe that true American patriots may have to resort to violence to save the country, compared with 22% of independents and 13% of Democrats, according to a poll by PRRI that was published last month. Those percentages have increased since 2021, when 28% of Republicans and 7% of Democrats held this belief. "

The revolution the crazy populist lefties have been begging for is coming, unfortunately for us though its going to be a fascist one not a socialist one.
