    Scott’s decision to end his campaign came as a surprise to his staffers, who only found out after watching his interview on TV.

    Now that’s some leadership right there.

      It’s only a big deal because republicans are bigots. They’re pissed off that they can’t just call him the N word so they decided that since he’s unmarried he must be gay and started attacking him for it with all the subtlety of tornado sirens. Now this goes without saying but being gay is only an “issue” if you’re a bigot… Which brings me back to my original point, Republicans are bigots.

        Plus I’m sure many of them still like to put on a “family values” veneer, which I guess still works on millions of people.

        Though I guess that veneer just a different look to the bigotry.

      I mean, it’s kind of weird that some of these guys live as confirmed bachelors right up till the point where they need a partner to run for president. If they have secrets about their love life that they’re too embarrassed about to talk about openly, they’re an easy target for blackmail once president.

      Corey Booker did the same thing, and it’s really fucking weird.
