    I find it really funny how people think economic growth works. Not just Russia but everywhere.

    Either citizens get better at making food/water/housing/heating/medicine/etc or they don’t. There’s no way to print money, or shift funds, or employ people to get around that fact. Even jobs like Netflix, or the military don’t contribute because those things don’t (usually/hopefully) help farmers make food or help build housing.

    If a sizable amount of the population is, let’s say, locked inside their own home, or let’s say, at war destroying resources instead of producing them, then there is NO WAY to escape the economic loss.

    However, there are lots of ways to lie about it with bad metrics and poorly done statistics.
