Hello World, Today, after careful consideration and evaluation of recent events, we have decided to defederate from Lemmygrad [https://lemmygrad.ml]. Regrettably, we have observed a significant increase in hate speech and calls to violence originating from the Lemmygrad instance. Due to the severity of the posts and comments, we are not waiting for the next Lemmy update that will allow users to block instances. At Lemmy.world, we have always strived to foster an inclusive and welcoming user environment. However, recent posts and comments from Lemmygrad have clearly violated our server rules and, more importantly, our core values. We firmly believe that hate speech and incitement of violence have no place in our community, regardless of personal beliefs or affiliations. As always, we encourage all users to report any content they deem inappropriate or harmful. No matter one’s stance in any conflict, Lemmy.world will always take immediate action to remove and ban any posts or comments that incite violence or propagate hatred. We encourage everyone to continue engaging in discussions within the boundaries of respect and understanding. As we move forward with this decision, we remain committed to providing all community members with a safe and welcoming space.       If Lemmy.world didn’t have trending memes calling the Lemmygrad dudes literal Nazis while the poster spews bullshit all over the comments I’d agree.

      Not tankies. Not red fascists. Not walking proof of horseshoe theory. Dude’s calling them national socialists and dumbasses are upvoting him for it.

      But, then again, my instance is defederated from them already so maybe I’m not seeing them talk about the glory of the Aryan race and complaining about the degenerate West letting gay people stay alive.

      Anyone here seen a Lemmygrad peep do that?

    I couldn’t fucking care less. If I want to see their edgelord circle jerk bullshit I’ll create an account on the instance. No one is being silenced. They can spew their bullshit to their hearts content and no one is being prevented from listening who wants to. The people who are pissing and moaning are just whining because they can’t force everyone to listen anymore like they could on Reddit and that isn’t any fun.

    Lemmy is federated. No one can stop anyone from listening to what they want to listen to and no one can force you to listen to intentionally annoying edgelords if you don’t want to.

    Now quit your fucking and get on with your lives.

    I actually don’t mind hexbears and lemmygrad.ml. It is a good reminder to have that just like the world, the internet is filled with shitty people/beliefs. Makes it easier to take the things you see with a grain of salt. I don’t want an echo chamber.

      The only problem I have with them is that they sound like MAGA idiots with their “liberal” bullshit. I get irrationally irritated every time I see one of those posts. I’m still not entirely convinced that they’re not just MAGA hats pretending to be communists to make actual communists look bad.

      The worst I’ve seen is some mild trolling, and some different opinions. It feels like lemmy.world is just fragile. Glad I choose kbin.social, let’s me decide what I want to see for myself.
