I was at the Demonstration yesterday and a few blocks in front of where we were the Police arrested someone who chanted “From the River to the Sea” in the International Block and then got hit with flag Poles. Then Police knocked out a 65 year old man, and arrested 15 others some ended up in Hospitals. https://www.jungewelt.de/artikel/466755.ll-demo-erinnern-und-kämpfen.html
Germany once again showing their fascist roots.
@[email protected] what were those folk holding the DPRK flags chanting?
The chanting when DPRK flags are on screen is [something I can’t hear] and “gegen faschismus” | “against fasicsm”
Hard to tell - my German is not the best. As Edward said below, the second part is definitely “gegen Faschimus,” against fascism. The first part sounds like “fuer den Schutz”, for the defense; so my guess is “for defense against fascism,” or something similar.
Any German comrades want to help out?
They’re chanting “Schulter an Schulter gegen den Faschismus” which translates to “Shoulder to shoulder against fascism”
That makes way more sense. Thanks!
