this is practically a child’s view of the world. good guy vs bad guy. Russia = bad, NATO = good. plus, someone should tell her she has it completely backwards: ending russia is kinda natos entire thing

You have a backward view of history, without NATO there wouldn’t have been a fascist coup in Ukraine in 2014, which wouldn’t have led to a vicious civil war between Ukrainian Russian speakers and nazi banderites, which then wouldn’t have led to a Russian invasion

Also ignores the fact Putin and Yeltsin wanted to join NATO, open a fuckin history book this shit ain’t that complex

        • ur drawing way too many conclusions out of thin air. certainly they would bomb military supply lines, and those are valid military targets. but “bombing Poland” has a much more radical connotation. Russia has no reason to “bomb Poland”

You are just guessing. If Poland wasn’t already directly involved, attacking them would probably be a bad move compared to just cutting off the weapon supply with targeted attacks in western Ukraine.

Hey so you know how you’re saying that if a nation doesn’t have the backing of NATO, it’s vulnerable to aggression? What do you think that means for NATO’s enemies, including but not limited to Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran, Syria, Yemen, Libya, Venezuela, Iran, DPRK, Palestine, China, and Russia?

If nato didn’t exist we might still have a union of soviet socialist republics. We also wouldn’t have an organization that turned nazi collaborators into a powerful and persistent institution.

I don’t think Russia fully invades and bombs all the way to Kyiv if NATO doesn’t exist tbh.

They probably would just continue to arm separatists, like they did since 2014 when a president that eastern Ukraine liked a lot more than Western Ukraine did got overthrown.

With NATO hanging over their heads I guess they seemed to want to fully invade and call a bluff instead of just keeping the war in the more separatist part of Ukraine.

NATO has a track record of interfering in governments it doesn’t like. They clearly didn’t like Putin. He was correct that their expansion was a threat to him. Maybe I deserve to have a gun pointed at me, but that doesn’t mean I won’t point one at you too.

Russia hasn’t made any credible threats to Poland in something like 40 years now, what the fuck are you talking about

If NATO didn’t exist, the war in Ukraine would likely not have happened (given the civil war was triggered initially by the US meddling in their affairs), and Poland would just keep on keeping on

Swear to god all the people who share borders with Russia are the most paranoid motherfuckers.

Swear to god all the people who share borders with Russia are the most paranoid motherfuckers.

mostly the baltic states. Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia. They have a history of nazi collaboration along with Ukraine that they’re very proud of. Latvia in particular has annual parades honoring SS members and nazi collaborators. I wouldn’t extend these accusations of paranoia to other countries bordering Russia, like Kazakhstan, for example.
