If I were into prog rock I’d do it, but I’m pretty ignorant to be quite honest :P

It’s more psychedelic than progressive, but I’ve always liked Interstellar Overdrive by Pink Floyd.

The bright, gritty and sloppy guitar while the bass descends into madness sounds so good to me. I like the craziness it has.

Specifically Queen II by Queen.

If you’re not turned off by modern and metal, Rise Radiant by Caligula’s Horse is awesome, highly recommend the track Salt; maybe start with that one to get a good feel for what the album will bring.

You can’t go wrong with a classic from the last twenty years and Coheed and Cambria’s Good Apollo, I’m Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness is an album you should not miss.
