It took way longer than it looks like it would because I was glazing most of it and stippling. It looks quite textured up close like this but not from the table which is the main thing.

It was my first time trying an oil wash for the red as well!

    Looks great! I haven’t painted minis since they were still pewter. Is painting the parts separately before assembly a thing you all do now?

      It’s not always done. It’s a painter preference. Usually painting heads individually is only really done for heroes needing extra special attention, but some people leave bits like arms or capes off of minis for better access until the end.

      There’s really no hard rules on the “right way” to do it.

      I have no idea haha. I only started around this time last year and even then, I had so much anxiety about getting it right that I have only managed to paint a handful of models in that time.

      I’m just kind of winging it but it seems easier to get to all the little hard to reach areas this way.
