My dad used to talk about his all the time. Champagne poly, 4 on the floor.
Gas, Tires, and Oil
I still remember that the convertible top actually had a glass back window instead of the usual plastic window that most rag tops had. And the clutch…it was so heavy compared to any stick I have driven since then.
A glass rear window on a convertible is sweet! Cable clutches weigh a ton alright. Most cars I’ve owned have been stick, either electric-assist or full electric. I definitely prefer the electric-assist. You can’t feel anything on those arcade unit electric clutches. The point of driving manual transmission is to connect with the car. Don’t get me started on rev-matching and hill assist. lol
Slightly off topic, my first car was a 76 cutlass supreme. I literally dream about that car still. Pure pleasure to drive
Goat, baby, goat!
I have never had one, but I’ve had the sheer pleasure of driving one on errands for a patient that bought it new and kept it in good shape. His grandson inherited it, and it’s still looking good and rumbling sweet.
Oh wow! What a beauty!
