I scored a mitutoyo dual caliper, micrometer, and bore gauges. I also got a fowler indicator, stand, and surface plate. Managed to get everything for $50. 
Also pictured is the poolish I have fermenting for bread I’m going to make tomorrow.

I was super surprised to see the mitutoyo stuff. The people putting the rummage sale on run a business doing auctions and stuff. They had no idea what they were worth.
Yeah you definitely got the fairer part of the deal there. Good on ya. the telescoping gauges alone are worth three times what you paid for the whole lot. I bought some Mitutoyo and Starett gauges and indicators a few years back for blueprinting an old diesel engine I was rebuilding, and paid an arm and a leg for them. I spent a couple months beating up garage sales and pawn shops for some quality stuff like this before I plunked down for everything new. That’s a very nice score, if you have a need for accurate measurement devices.

Right! They didn’t even know what the surface plate was. They had it over in the cooking and household stuff because they thought it was a cutting board hahaha
