    Thank you for posting this very interesting look into the Chinese furry subculture.

    I found myself relating a lot to the people presented in this article and video. It’s… difficult to put into words exactly what being furry means to me. Someone in this video said that meeting another furry in person is less like meeting a stranger and more like meeting an old friend. We spend so much time wearing masks like “Data Analyst” or “Cashier” or “Mechanic” that we begin to feel alienated from ourselves. Furry is unique for being a mask (or even a fursuit lol) that we create ourselves, and that facilitates a reconnection with the self and that connects us with others. A fursona is less like a fantasy than someone we could be if we just had more time and less worries.
