Prospective running mates have received vetting materials as the race for the No. 2 spot on Trump's ticket narrows to three or four candidates, sources tell NBC News.

Trump’s search, according to one source, is heavily concentrated on four top prospects: North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum and Sens. Marco Rubio of Florida, Tim Scott of South Carolina and JD Vance of Ohio. Another source described a three-way competition involving Burgum, Rubio and Vance.

    As someone who routinely downvotes OP for posting anti-Democrat propaganda, I gotta say this is news. Just because it’s about Trump and doesn’t talk about him negatively doesn’t mean it should be downvoted

      Hi Jeff! Thanks. I thought it would be informative to know who Trump’s top picks might be. If Trump was smart (he’s not), he would go with Rubio to get the Latino voters. Might not take enough from Biden or whoever they replace him with at the convention but it’s the “better” option.
