Enterprise is close (no candy crush etc), but LTSC still rules supreme
LTSC is the route I took as well for awhile. But went back to retail because I wanted to play Game Pass and there were some weird things going on. But it was great for my cheap homemade NAS.
that is… until I switched both computers to Linux last year.
But completely agree - if you need/want to stay in Windows, LTSC was very clean.
Had no problems running LTSC for several years while using game pass, just had to enable the store and grab a couple official packages. Alongside MAS it’s a nice replacement for people not willing to switch to Linux. While I no longer have any windows machines at home, I have setup friends and family with LTSC and they have all been happy with it.
Same with 11, now that IoT LTSC just released not too long ago.
