Meltzer/Alvarez, so, grains of salt and such.
Penta has said he wanted to do a WrestleMania before he retires, and is about to hit 40 so this could be his last shot at a WM contract if so.
The other side of the coin is that the Lucha Bros have a lot of side-hustles on the go that I don’t think WWE would let them keep. Penta does a lot of Mexican indie shows, and they run their own “Republic of Lucha” merch store too. They’ll have to weight up the value of their all their outside gigs (and a potential AEW offer) against the WWE offer.
I’m glad I got to see Penta do his thing in Lucha Underground, and the Lucha Bros AEW tag run was decent. As long as they’re happily getting that money, it’s all good, regardless where they end up.
I was thinking the same thing. They’ve built quite a nice independent brand for themselves. How much of that is WWE going to let them keep?
While I’d love for them to stay, and honestly feel like any tagteam would be better outside of wwe than in, wanting to be part of Mania, and getting more money, is absolutely in their best interests.
Definitely. Penta has said a few times now he’s more interested in tag work with Rey than working solo so as much as people want it, we’ll never get that AEW title on Penta, might as well get his bag.
What a terrible day to have eyes
a shame to lose them but go get everything you can. they’ve earned it <3
They were my favorites in Lucha Underground and a big reason I started watching AEW. I’ll be sad to see them go but I can’t blame them if being on Mania has always been a dream of theirs.
I’m gonna be selfish. PLEASE go to WWE. I know they have an awful track record with Luchas, but I need the brothers
They have an awful record with luchadors and tag teams. But hopefully Triple H breaks that cycle.
True that. He is a fan of tag teams and factions as far as I know. I think he just needs some time to cook; doesn’t wanna rush it
