“flipping burgers” is a colloquialism for fast food work. It involves a lot more than rotating patties on a grill.

4·4 days agoSpelling and grammar should be appropriate for their context. Expecting every comment and post and casual conversation to follow the APA or Chicago manual doesn’t make any sense, but you also shouldn’t be using a casual voice in formal communication.

3·7 days agoThe topic of “conventionally attractive woman leverages her body to generate attention” will probably always be split between those who think that decision empowers or diminishes herself and women in general.

There’s probably a lot of good criticism for Oklo specifically. It’s a shame I can’t really take anything seriously with such a heavy-handed FUD tone on the history and context of nuclear power in general.

There are plenty of secular people who attend religious schools, and plenty of mostly-coopted religious holidays people could technically complain about (like Halloween), so the title isn’t completely absurd

The real strength of the “what is a woman” argument is that theres no answer that puts you ahead. If you draw a line, you get absolutely creamed for being some bigoted transphobe, if you take an open stance now you’re against women. If you say you can have your cake and eat it too you’re ridiculed for the inconsistency.
