I do. And if your situation doesn’t change much from year to year, it isn’t horrible. For complex situations you’re fucked, but you can’t do complex filing for free anyway.

If they are, then they’re lying and we all know it. Many DoJ employees have nothing to do with Epstein and have no access to the data.
Although people mention efficiency, for many setups we just don’t care. If it ain’t broke for you, don’t fix it. Wait, revisit the issue a year or two from now.
Dallas is nothing like Boston, my friend. The environment is important, not just the “amenities”.

Maybe partly. These files scare Trump, too. That’s why he keeps lashing out, trying to deflect. He’s scared of losing respect… And remember, when he goes, MAGA will fall apart.

Nuclear power isn’t clean, stupid headline. Did we learn nothing from Fukushima or Three Mile or Monju? … Bonus points if you heard of Monju, which is on point because it, too, was a breeder reactor.

We choose how we act, but we don’t choose how we feel at certain times. If we get nervous, scared, or embarrassed, for example, willpower alone won’t change that.
Of course there are various ways of adjusting how we react or display emotions, so all hope is not lost. Those take time and practice.

Well no shit. The whole point of most news is that it is already a summary. That’s why it’s not a livestream or novel, typically.
Summarizing a summary accurately is hard if the author was a halfway skilled writer. You have to omit facts, and then you fuck it all up.

Nobody knows how parenthood will turn out, my friend. Nobody is qualified to decide who is qualified… Good.

Not really comparable, maybe. This is more scam and less substance… There is no definition of “AI”, is there? If you bring up the fundamental problems with genAI, they just pivot to expert systems. Classic scam artistry. They know they’re selling hot air, promising digital workers that are already complete failures.
Of course computers will continue to be used in various ways … Just like we’ve seen since 1951, right?

Oh, I think it’s a wonderful plan for the startup. They don’t own space, they don’t have any control over space, they’re selling something that they know they can’t possibly deliver because they would have to get people to agree that they’re allowed to steal sunlight and space, and that would never happen. It’s great for them. They can get some cash.
An analysis isn’t really going to work without a lot of extra information. People don’t just leave overnight because if they own property, which is the claim here, then they have to find someone to buy it. And as other people start leaving property values would plummet so then there would be less incentive for more people to leave.
And to begin with, really poor people have incredible difficulty moving in general, because they don’t have extra money saved up to pay for a truck or to get a new apartment or to take time off of work to deal with all of that or to even apply for jobs in distant locations.
So let’s move on to middle class renters. What about them, would they leave? But if somehow they did, that, would I think make room for a lot of other people to move into the city. As you know, many people commute from New Jersey and dislike it on account of the fact that they have to live in New Jersey and if they could move into the city they would probably do so. And then there’s all of the other people who don’t currently live in or near New York who are hearing about this person who might make the city an amazing place, from their point of view, and if they can get in on it then they’re going to.
So I don’t see the population significantly declining even if you somehow had people moving in and out at record numbers, and even that doesn’t seem like it makes sense.

I think if you tried it you’d find out that you’re wrong. The stubble is not a major issue … is what you might realize.

I think polite words are fine, but when she started praising him, that was simply inappropriate. Either she actually believes what she said or she was lying about the praise. Offering condolences to the family alone would have sufficed.

It’s fascinating to see her keep saying things that reveal the fatal flaw in her campaign. It’s not that she listened to her advisors back then, although they did give her bad advice. Rather, she’s lacking values that resonate with the majority of the American people. We all know that the old man was a terrible human being, and yeah, it is probably sad for his family that he passed away, but most of us would simply not say his name again. He earned no respect as a public figure, and we can treat ourselves with dignity by not bringing him up ever again.
Of course you also might want a trash talk him, because of all the horrible things he did, and that’s okay too. I think either approach is fine, but the one approach that’s not fine is whitewashing all the horrible things he did in his life.

We hear b******* about how if New York raises taxes then some rich people are going to leave and that’s supposed to hurt the city somehow. I don’t understand that argument but people are making it and let’s assume that they have some basis in reasoning to do so.
Except now he’s going to make it more expensive for them to go to Texas. So they’re more likely to stay in New York even if they’re surrounded by socialists. Is that what he really wants to do? Because I think New Yorkers would like that, because then they can tax those rich m************.

I don’t believe anyone is actually dumbfounded by the cruelty. We’ve all heard the rhetoric, we all watched the speeches, the cruelty was there plain to see. Of course, some people didn’t think it would ever come for them, that they weren’t on the s*** list, but there was never any question about the cruelty itself.
Oh, would you prefer to ignore the blatant corruption? … If minimum wage (Walmart wage) were living wage, far fewer people would be on food stamps.
