I love gas stoves for cooking. I’ll go out for dinner if I need that sear (hibachi teppanyaki I’m looking at you).

I would not have one in my house. Or gas appliances of any kind, tbh. Tech has moved on. A heat pump and an induction stove are better, and your kids respiratory health will thank you.
