Noticed they are quite a large server with similar rules to ours (Be respectful, no bigotry, no porn, etc). Looking at their front page, it seems pretty tame, just anti-capitalist memes and discussion. Is there a reason we have blocked them?
I’m not certain, because by the time I joined the site they had already been defederated here and on many other instances. But I believe they had a reputation for being quite heavy brigaders. It’s not necessarily because of them having a bad ideology, but because they push that ideology in an aggressive way in other communities.
The reputation for brigading and generally causing drama on other instances is why I blocked them from day 1.
Afaik, the people that run the place and the community they foster are out-and-out tankies.

When I looked there previously it looked like a bunch of mostly harmless cookers. Looking again now, I see hateful posts such as this:

Ah that explains why some post on other instances were complaining about porn everywhere and I had no idea what they were on about.
