      It’s a crack about how there’s generally no good file search for normies. Even with fd, if I remember right, it needs flags to be effective.

        I don’t know what makes a file search good for you. Mint’s default file explorer, Nemo, has a search function that seems to do its job.

          Mint comes with it’s own issues just like every other distro. It’s a constant point the finger over there thing and blame the user for ‘you chose the wrong distro’.

          And Linux forums are full of noobs that just installed a distro and think it’s great. -Then the updates and issues hit them hard.

          Same story over and over again.

          Nemo can be installed in other distros. If it’s a solution, stick with that. I’m not giving yet another platform to evangelize or direct to a never ending distro hop as a solution. Fwiw: I liked Nemo.
