Having grown up in the 90s having to endure “homo”, “gay”, and “retard” being extremely common insults can we not turn yet another way people can be different into an insult?

These two clowns’ actions give more than enough ammunition to craft a good insult without getting into appearance or wielding people’s identities as a weapon.

Probably I’m missing something but I’ve read the parent comment as a way to highlight the hypocrisy behind making extensive use of something while, simultaneously, wanting to bar others from using it

I don’t see an insult in there, given the choice of words and the context, but maybe I’m missing something fundamental?

I don’t think you’re missing anything, but I also understand how you could be guarded about that sort of thing, given the history of the way anyone who’s even a little bit different is treated.

The usual distinguishing factor is choices vs innate. If they’ve decided to make “cheap plastic surgery that already is outdated from cheap plastic surgery trends” their identity, that is their choice.
