He said that when he was 10 years old he decided that he wanted to be a world famous martial arts actor. Now he’s a 50 year old man living a child’s dream.
I don’t think that’s what’s meant. It’s not that he set out to do a thing and achieved it; it’s that he set out to do what a child dreamed of but now he’s a grown man.
Jean-Claude Van Damme had a good line.
He said that when he was 10 years old he decided that he wanted to be a world famous martial arts actor. Now he’s a 50 year old man living a child’s dream.
And therefore… this is an example of the dreams of youth definitely not being the regrets of maturity.
I admire Madonna, Garth Brooks and Lady Gaga for the same reasons. They all said, “I’m going to do this thing.”, and did it. And they sure aimed high.
I don’t think that’s what’s meant. It’s not that he set out to do a thing and achieved it; it’s that he set out to do what a child dreamed of but now he’s a grown man.
Yeah, and it sounds like now he has 50 year old dreams that he yearns for instead.
