On the heels of TikTok's looming shutdown on January 19 over its ownership in the U.S. (unless the Supreme Court intervenes), it looks like another American users are flocking to a Chinese app called Xiaohongshu as people become less optimistic that TikTok can overturn U.S. ban.
Tried making a WeChat account, but my account was immediately temporarily banned likely because my phone is rooted and I downloaded the app from the Aurora Store. Oops. I guess if I want to use WeChat at some point, I will need to get a separate phone.
Doesn’t let me sign up using my phone number and I refuse to use Google :/
it took me a couple days to get it to send me the phone code but it eventually did.
I get the code almost immediately but it just doesn’t work when I paste it in the app :/
Can you get WeChat?
