    If I’ve learned anything from Ice Road Truckers it’s that they were going too fast. The weight of the truck pushes water underneath the ice forward causing a high pressure in front of them it leaves a low pressure behind them weakening the towards the back side of the vehicle.

    Or it could be the ice was too thin. I’m just some asshole on the internet.

      You make an interesting point. And from the another comment quoting the article: “This probably happened because recently there were works on blasting ice in the area during the practice of a simulated accident on a ship.” A little bit of soften the ice with explosives, and a little bit of drive to fucking fast with a heavy piece of equipment on that ice. smh.
