The Trump administration canceled $900 million in contracts overseen by the Institute of Education Sciences, which partners with scientists and education companies to compile and make public data about schools each year.
This has been true for years, in fact since the 80’s we’ve been seeing a downward trend on standardized test scores vs. Asian countries(Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Taiwan), it’s not a new thing. But! I bet if you ask about school ratings most parents haven’t got a clue how deficient some of our public schools are. Even the ones in good looking neighborhoods (and fancy buildings) are not doing well.
