Nope, just because the name is archaic does not mean that the institution is irrelevant.

The Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden is one of our best schools for higher education, why should it be treated as irrelevant just because of it’s name?

Because the name implies subservience to some monarch. If the institution is subservient, then it’s not a good institution. If it’s not, then it should change it’s name to something less misleading.

I don’t really trust people who overtly serve some privileged baby. It seems appropriate for Musk tho.

I was just trying to be funny. Like imagine if they called it “The Irrelevant Institute of Technology”.

Also thinking about royal jelly found in bee hives being renamed “irrelevant jelly”. Or a royal flush in cards being renamed an “irrelevant flush”.
