David Nicholas, a Republican voter in Port St. Lucie, Fla., expressed sympathy for those federal workers, but said he still backs the DOGE effort.

“I’ve been laid off before different times over the years, and nobody really [cared] about my feelings or anything like that,” said the poll respondent, who is not a government worker

    /facepalm

Yeah well wait until the day his dumbass realizes why things are taking longer than they should, why things don’t have a lot of safeguards and everything. It’ll be because of the firing of those federal workers. Does this moron have his own IRS, his own education department, energy and more. Yeah he’s got it all figured it out, I bet, the fucking loon.

        everything you said, plus…

        • the economic impact of these layoffs that will not be picked up by private enterprise
        • the loss of social support services for people laid off (including folks like him) while looking for work

its like these people have been hit with the stupid stick for the past 40 years. then I think of the likes of rush limbaugh and I guess they really have.
