But what do you do when adult elected officials suddenly start behaving like screaming toddlers and teenage bullies in the halls of Congress? Is there any authority that can step in and quiet the tantrums? And when this increasingly anti-social behavior is happening in the shadow of a party leader and presidential candidate who exalts violence and cruelty, can we really just chalk it up to frustration and fatigue?
What do you do when adult elected officials suddenly start behaving like screaming toddlers and teenage bullies in the halls of Congress?
That question was asked repeatedly when all hell broke loose on both ends of Congress on Tuesday and nobody knows the answer. We aren’t talking about the usual partisan sniping. Something disturbing and bizarre is happening within the Republican Party, which has now viciously turned on itself.

Yes, however it hasn’t been present in modern civilised political society for well over a century. The MAGA base from which this slime has emerged is quite comfortable with acting like the poorly-educated scum that they have been bred to become, due to the feedback loop of modern Conservative policy since the 50’s.
Yeah, a lot of conservatives seem to see some weird amalgamation of the 19th century and the world order of the the 1950s as the pinnacle of human society.
Mixed with the attitude of Eric Cartman. Most of them aren’t even interested in their own well being, but instead how they can harm other people, even if they’re getting screwed over in the process. If I wrote a character in a book like that, I’d be trashed for writing yet another psychopath, but here we are with a lot of people that act like Hollywood psychopaths, that are voting, and even outside the US. Fidesz is pretty much being held in power by the utter sadism of a bunch of ultra-authoritarian people, even met some of these kind of people within the Polish far-right and some Israeli Netanyahu voters.
