“Action must be taken immediately to protect Consumers, combat Illegal Monopolies, and ensure these Corporations are not criminally profiting at the expense of the American People. I am asking the DOJ to act expeditiously,” he added.

Well. How about that. I fully agree. But I don’t think he means what I wish he means. :)

Yeah somehow I don’t think they’ll be suing Cargill and Tyson over the meatpacking monopoly

I’m a farmer, rancher, and dairyman. The meat packing monopoly is a massive problem for decades now, and a huge reason for problems on both the producer and consumer sides. However, I fucking know for a fact that if trump all of the sudden starts talking about your industry, buckle up. He’s gunna fuck it up in the dumbest way imaginable.

It is kinda nice to finally see my red hatted neighbors getting pissed off at the administration though.

He’s going to go after ranchers because they cried foul over his support of Argentine ranchers. He’s all about retribution. He probably has a “buddy” in the meat packing racket.

Just more word salad that sounds good to him. The US is rife with what are effectively monopolies that squeeze the consumer who will have few choices other than competitors who are doing the exact same thing.

There ain’t no way that addled clown said all that. He probably doesn’t even know what a quarter of those words even mean…

He sure as shit has never even heard the word expeditiously.

He’s just mad that John Tyson hasn’t shown up at the White House with a box of steaks yet.

Trinkets and a little ass kissing are all it takes to passify the toddler in chief.

What’s the point in bitching about prices if those that are affected by the prices are completely broke and can’t buy it anyways?

Last I checked, those cowboy cattle ranching types weren’t exactly strong Democrats on the whole. With the popularity of the Yellowstone series on that side, I think the base is going to be torn here. I foresee another TACO by Tuesday, but in the meantime, let’s grab some popcorn, shall we?

“The president went on to claim that American ranchers were unfairly taking blame for the actions of what he called “Majority Foreign Owned Meat Packers, who artificially inflate prices, and jeopardize the security of our Nation’s food supply”

So, not the cowboy cattle ranching types.

facts that aren’t true and prices way down, huh? 😆

I’m good with him going after megacorps that do low-ball farmers and gouge Joe Average, though.
