Theory: Rhodey has been a Skrull since Iron Man 2. When the Skrulls went to replace Rhodey he was meeting with Don Cheadle, there was a mix-up and the Skrull has been using Rhodey’s memories with Don Cheadle’s body. Everyone knows he’s a Skrull, but it’s useful to have one for-sure Skrull on the books.

Edited to add second theory: Rhodey is dead. Armour Wars will be about getting StarkTech out of the hands of the Skrulls and Don Cheadle is actually playing the villain.

Do we have good enough support for spoiler tags yet to have these kind of threads here? 😅 Voyager app doesn’t have any fancy editor at least.

There is no way those helicopters would have gotten anywhere near the presidential motercade lol. That definitely took a bit of the immersion out of the episode for me

Yeah, my first thought too. They clear the airspace around the POTUS anywhere in the world. The skrulls were pretending to be Russians, no way they’d be able to hide from British radar

I don’t know about elsewhere in the world, but if you’ve ever seen the President arrive somewhere in the US this was laughable. There’s helicopters circling for miles

This was the first episode that fell a little flat for me. I loved the Fury bit with his wife, but they can’t just keep having characters die at the end of episodes and expecting us to keep taking them seriously.

Rhodes showing up to work with alcohol on his breath, lmao.

Not going over spoilers because I don’t know if Lemmy hides those or not.

I was expecting him to comment on the president being completely sober while in Russia. Disrespectful.

I feel like it’s obvious but I’m feeling like Fury is going to die and we’ll find out the real Fury remained in space and used one of those pod things to clone himself to a Skrull who took his place. He’s looking increasingly pained, like he stood by and watched someone die when he should have blown his cover to save them. Reckon it’s a Skrull plant and Fury is still in space working on whatever is so important he left Earth for, which his Skrull plant doesn’t know about, which is why he hasn’t said why he left when anyone asks him.
