I certainly don’t want to romanticize the terrible time in history that was the French Revolution, but you have to admit the effect it had on their “take no bullshit” attitude is striking.

Death penalty for one murder. Fat paycheck for life for greed and stupidity leading the collapse of society and indirect deaths of thousands.
