    It’s neither surprising that Trump is once again trashing someone who is doing or has done military service, nor is it surprising that his followers couldn’t give less of a shit while simultaneously saying they “support the troops.”

        Sure, but Trump’s followers won’t notice and if they do, they won’t care. Because Trump’s word is law. Even if it contradicts standard Republican dogma. They just hold Trump’s contradiction and the dogma in their head at the same time and pretend there isn’t a dissonance.

          Trump’s words are law, except when he contradicts himself. Then he’s just joking. Or it’s a genius plan. One of those. Or both.
