Is this not largely correct? This is a fairly standard take on the purpose of immigration in a capitalist economy imo. on the claim that has relaxed immigration requirements, though.

Is it not true that capitalists use precarious workers to keep wages pegged low? I’m thinking of things like migrant farm labor getting absolute peanuts, to the point that only people with severely limited options would consider doing it. EDIT: though perhaps that’s less true for Canada given they don’t have as easy access as we do to migrants from Mexico and other latin american countries?
