Upgrade is complete. Please let us know if you have any problems.
Note - for those of you that were using Two Factor Authentication, due to the way lemmy 0.19.x implements 2fa, you will need to re-enable it manually from your settings once you have logged in.
Edit - As a bonus, we have two new interfaces for folk to try
just here to say i love the admins at blahaj <3
The shork has leveled up 🦈
Hell yeah! now I can have trans flags in my name! :D
Nice! I’ve been wanting to add pronouns to mine but couldn’t without removing the trans flag. Glad it’s fixed
wait u could have a trans flag before the update? cuz for me it said the username was invalid
On a much earlier version of Lemmy you could. At some point they pushed a change to disallow invisible characters, and that’s what broke it. So I had set my name with a trans flag prior to that update
ohhh damn I probably could have done it on my old account at least then X3 Welp it works now! :D
pog
Nice
Carpincho!!!
Woot woot
We have the best admins ❤️
Heads up, when hexbear upgraded a few months ago, there was a bug where you couldn’t log back in (the update logs you out).
The fix is to just clear your cookies for blahaj.
sweet!! i assume mlmym will be added later on, no?
Ty for all your work you lovely admins 💜
Well done! And nice for the interfaces!
Thanks so much for your time & efforts
✨👉👈😊😸🌸
2FA actually ended up breaking on our account on the older interface (as it just stopped accepting generated codes), so the update disabling that actually helped us out in that regard. Proper account recovery needs to be implemented for cases when something like that happens.
thanks :), great the alternitive frontends got added too, keep up the great work
I was trying to create that oldetimer community I was talking about recently. But when pressing the “Create” button on the creation menu, it quickly unpresses itself and does nothing at all, no error message in sight
I was just able to create [email protected] without any issues, so I’m not sure what’s going on with that one…
In any case, if you can post something in that community, I’ll make you a mod and then remove myself
Huh interesting that it works for you. Guess must be on my side then. I very much appreciate the gesture too, but I wanted it to be called “Oldtimer, Youngtimers and Vintage Motoring” so it would fit with my other community Trams, Trollys and Streetcars! I’ll try to create it tomorrow, will keep ya update! Thanks!
Another thought. Community titles (the title that shows in the URL, not the display title) are limited to 25 characters. If you’re going beyond that, it fails, and from memory, it failed without a useful error message in previous versions of lemmy, so it’s probably still doing that now.
Oh I see, yeah that seems to have been the big issue. Thank you for the help! Its created now!
Ok, let me know how you go. Try another browser if you can, or try incognito mode. Or logging out of your lemmy account and logging in again.
