      I have never used tiktok but you’re pro shutting down social media for what reason? What makes Tiktok more evil than every other social media?

          Why not just impose strict regulatory laws on handling of user data and impose fines for everyone who breaks these rules? Oracle hosts most if not all user data in the US so any investigations are already completely possible. Sure you would have to impose the same laws for all (even american) social media sites, but that’s a win for every single person on this planet…

        They’re algorithms are extremely accurate. The date of their collecting is pretty sweeping and the chances of China being able to access it as much higher. I don’t think honestly that that’s enough to shut it down but everybody needs aliens to go after.

              Even that is a distinction without a difference. Someone is still making money off of stupid tiktokers who are addicted to the service and generating gobs of ad revenue.
