Be warned that a huge part of the humour of this community is to use stereotypical English words and phrases and transpose them in the most ridiculous way possible to German.
A good example for this idea is the name of this “language” – “Zangendeutsch”: it literally translates the term “German tongue” as “tongs’ German”
The community [email protected] demonstrates the reverse: transposing German in the most ridiculous way to English.
Do not use this community for learning German! Unless you know what you are doing.
This looks like a good meme but I’m still on learning German places translate I want to know what is says please
I’m also learning and was ecstatic when I understood it. What it is (approximately) saying is:
Nexflix and chill? What is that? First speak in German and then tell me what are we watching on Jelly(?) today
Almost right, but it is not “tell me what are we watching” but something like “and I said we are watching Jellyfin”
Jellyfin
Thanks
Achtung Zangendeutsch!
