A kind reminder that saying “the Ukraine” is incorrect. Just like using the article is incorrect with any other country name (unless it’s a group of states, islands, etc.). And it may be triggering to some Ukrainians, because of the parallels to Russian “на Украине”, which basically implies that Ukraine is a region, not an independent country.
When are they rolling these out to the Ukraine? Can’t be any less accurate than the shit they’re hitting schools and hospitals with now.
