I think the vigilante angle you talk about falls apart a little bit if you consider that China is a pretty safe country. Both in terms of statistics and from anecdotes I have heard. But as you said he could take on organised crime and foreign actors though.
Yeah, China is a very safe country in the grand scheme of things, and is well on it’s way to almost eliminating crime in general, especially violent crime. But a government can’t be everywhere at once, even in best case scenarios. There’s always someone being hurt somewhere. And I imagine the random violent crimes would be something he finds occasionally, and the focus of his comic series would be about long-term buildup and conspiracy storylines.
