Since I almost entirely use a desktop or Steam Deck, I don't follow the laptop world too closely but the new upgradeable LPCAMM2 RAM for laptops sounds really awesome.
While true, I think buying into a proprietary memory format that hasn’t been formally made an open standard is something you have to accept some risk on. CAMM is cool as hell, but it never made it this far.
Sucks to be anyone who owns a Dell Precision 7670 because you paid for the R&D for this format but can’t benefit from it.
