A new preprint study suggests that school-based mindfulness programs, widely implemented in recent years, do not significantly benefit adolescents' mental health or well-being.
I’ve been seeing this study making the rounds and the whole thing stinks. Who would be opposed to mindfulness training for children, even if it doesn’t immediately invoke tangible benefits? The study is fine, but it almost feels as if someone fears that meditating children might not generate as much surplus labor or some shit.
