I think American banks and Google Pay are the biggest problem here. That, and the weird American payment systems that has only recently started moving away from the magstripe/just enter the numbers approach.
My banking apps works on my rooted phone and I haven’t even bothered to use Magiskhide to hide my root status. I mostly use it because my bank card’s RFID broke and I’m not paying 20 euros to replace it when my phone can do the same thing.
