- Fender Jazz Bass
- Contrabass
I own multiple guitars, but haven’t considered a bass. Easy to learn?
If you already play guitar then yes, easy to learn, hard to master ^^. But you should be able to get quickly to a point where you have fun playing. And then you can learn for example disco classics like Wind Earth and Fire’s September which is great fun, especially together with a drummer!
The one song I’d want to learn is Higher Ground, which looks to be a blast to play.
edit I’m sure my wife would demand pretty much anything by Rush. LOL.
I’ve never got the hoopla around Rickenbacker, but I came up thinking Warwick had the best sound so I think that may have something to so with it.
The Rickenbacker may not be ideal for many situations, but it is superior in the one thing it is good at - that sharp, striking, aggressive tone. For example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XuRxzYeXWw
Yes exactly, so many of my favorite rock bands use it because of it.
