That… was… terrible. I feel the show gets worse with every episode.

That shootout at the house, so much over the top. Fury threatening Rhodey, then he walks 5 steps down the hallway and these 10 agents comically appear out of nowhere from the same direction. Hilariously bad. Why did they even let him walk if he is anyway now the most wanted man on earth.

Yeah the agents showing up was so weird… Rhodey had ONE security detail with a gun on Fury, so did the rest of these agents just see the scene and decide to wait until Fury walked away…?

Why did Fury even back down from killing Faux-Rhodey at that point? That would’ve exposed the skrull threat right there and given him the one thing that could help clear his name. “There’s literally shapeshifting aliens trying to start WW3, you think I killed my own partner? I’ve had it with these motherfucking skrulls on this motherfucking planet!”

I hate this show more and more with each episode and it’s the first Marvel show I’ve had to force myself to watch. It has no redeeming qualities outside of Olivia Colman, everything else is just trash

Seeing the last episode (SPOILERS), it arguably makes things worse not taking fauxRhodey out, since he’s able to convince the President to launch nukes and the world is seconds away from nuclear destruction. I guess it makes for raised stakes and all that, but taking out fauxRhodey earlier on would’ve solved a lot of problems right there. It also could’ve led to an actual confrontation between Fury and Gravik, assuming Fury actually went there to Russia, as opposed to whatever we got.

Idk if it’s just me, but the show is definitely missing something. We’re 5 episodes in, with only ONE episode left now. And it feels like nothing has happened really. I cannot believe there’s just 1 more episode and that is the “secret invasion” in the MCU

This really feels like it was conceived as a 3 hour movie, then Marvel shuffled the budget and cut everything big out of this but they went ahead with it anyway with a much reduced scope. It’s too bad, because Sam Jackson is great in it, as are Don Cheadle and Olivia Coleman.

You know, I didn’t mind it. Gravik is having to deal with the people who think he’s not a good leader. It’d be a damn interesting finale if Fury shows up and every single soul in New Skrullos sides with him.

Also, this show, plus the existence of the harvest, makes it funnier that when Fury was at his own grave last, he said “anyone comes looking for me, tell them they can find me, right here”. Gravik came looking for him, and it was indeed right there.

Also five episodes in and finally we have a permanent death.

Also, for those wondering, if Fury had shot Rhodey, they would have found out Rhodey was a Skrull, but also they would have killed Fury. Presidential security doesn’t fuck around and would have immediately popped him. So Rhodey is outed but Fury is dead and Gravik is still out there. Losing scenario.

That strangely felt like a filler episode. Nothing really moved forward. Weird that we have this when it’s already a short series, and we’re so close towards the finale. I still wish they went more towards the how they’ve invaded, and how they’ve gained political influence and seats of power everywhere. Would have been way more fun than yet another “war between species”
