It’s a real shame, I wonder what the Soviet Union would be like in relation to the LGBT community if it still existed today. AES countries like Vietnam and Cuba became friendly and supportive towards the lgbtq+ community after the 90s.
Cuba well before the 90s, they were sending doctors in the 80s to the DDR to learn how to do gender affirming surgery and handling the HIV crisis more humanely and less discriminatorily.

Both Vietnam and Cuba fought the empire and won. The post-Soviet states haven’t had their victory against the empire yet.
