It is so frustrating to argue with libs who make arguments so old that literally Marx himself responded to them. I get the impression that Marxists already won the debate back in the 19th century and the liberal tactic has just been to pretend the debate has never happened, to continue repeating centuries-old arguments over and over again as if they’ve never been responded to, and to discourage anyone from looking into Marxism or reading Marx, Lenin, Mao, etc.

they will sometimes even revert to justifying genocide.

but dont the working class need to be convinced though? many of these people hate socialism while struggling to eat.

Yes, the working class does. Libs are usually privileged. My anecdotal experience is that liberals will just throw out a thought terminating cliche or are condescending and won’t even consider any alternative ideas. To even start a conversation with them, a topic needs to be mentioned by John Oliver or some other dipshit to even become acceptable for them to discuss.

I have had so many conversations just be redirected to “China bad” when not even remotely related. I.e. we need better public transport met with the response: well if we had “uyghur Muslim slave labor like China, we could” (I wanted to slap the mofo who said that because 500 Muslims were killed in a refugee camp air strike that very morning). So I have just decided that liberals in America are irredeemable. May be unfair, but it’s a personal decision. I will talk to poor and oppressed people all day, everyday but not libs.

Edit: the person who said this also believes Amazon workers are ok to treat like shit because they have shares in Amazon.

This was also noticed by Marx when he analysed the trend in contemporary economics, but he meant not himself but generally LTV, so incredibly uncomfortable for capitalists that their pet economists made a step back and started to circle like shit in airhole.

    Everyone will not agree.

Westerners aren’t helpless innocents whose minds are injected with atrocity propaganda, science fiction-style; they’re generally smug bourgeois proletarians who intelligently seek out as much racist propaganda as they can get their hands on. This is because it fundamentally makes them feel better about who they are and how they live. The psychic and material costs are rationally worth the benefits. As for those anti-imperialists who don’t participate in this festival of xenophobia — and here I include myself — we have our own elitist consolation: we accept the tragedy of masses of gullible sheeple falling for cunning propaganda because having overcome it flatters our own intelligence. The more we condemn society’s stupidity, the smarter we feel in comparison.
